New Owner- Electronics issue with Central locking and window

Hi All,

Just purchased myself a 2006 RRS. Love the car but its got a few electronic faults I didnt notice. If anyone could help or advise it would be highly appreciated...

First of all my central locking is a bit all over the shop. When I leave the vehicle and double press the lock key the passenger side front door and drivers side rear door lock however the drivers side front and passenger side rear does not lock? Once the car is locked if I open to drivers door (its opens) and the alarm goes off straight away. Sometimes when I go to lock the Horn sounds? The drivers door does not lock from the central locking button on the dash however if I use the small area on the handle the door will lock so Im presuming it must be electrical? Have no idea whats going on, I presume this could be an actuator of some sort but wondered if anyone could confirm?

Secondly the rear passenger side door (NSR) it appears like all electrics do not work on the door... The lock has to be manually pressed like the drivers side and the window will not work from the switch on the door card however it will work if accessed by the drivers main switch for all windows?

Not sure if this is a common fault or an expensive one, I wanted to know if there was a quick fix before I take the door cards off for further investigation.

Thanks all,
Adam

Hi, I seem to have the same problem with the drivers door on my 2006 RRs S/C. Sad
Which means that thieves can get into it - they did Mad so I am looking for the solution.
If you know the answer Question it would be great as we downunder don't have many experts. 2006 4.2 S/C with Tow Pack, Side Steps, DRL's, 19" & 20" wheels, additional 110 ltr Fuel Tank Roof Rack and performance mods.

sounds like faulty driver door actuator, common fault they fail. Blip the car and door just opens on the handle. You end up double checking it every time you leave it in risky areas.
