Please can you help me with a query i have about ordering a rrs 2017my atb. I would very much like my car to have the fixed steps and the front and rear mudflaps and i have been told by my dealer (lancasters) that you cannot have the mudflaps with the fixed steps and that i can only have the mudflaps with the deployable steps. I have explained that i have seen several cars with the fixed steps and the mudflaps so there has to be a way of fitting them on but they seem pretty sure you cannot. i showed them some pics of a fellow member who was selling his car with the options i want to prove my point but they still are not sure so have said that they will put in a technical request with LR and see what they say but that could take a while to get a response.

It would be great if any member could tell me if they have ordered a car recently with the above options as even the configurator will remove the mudflaps if you select the fixed side steps or could it be that the car has been modified slightly that does not now allow the mudflaps with the side step.

If there is a member who does have the above options would you be kind enough to take some photos of the front wheel arch where the step and the mudflap meet so that I can show the dealership that one does not come in the way of the other as I cannot see how the rear mudflap can cause any issues so maybe the problem is with the front mudflaps only

Not recently but I ordered mine with front & rear mud flaps and fixed sidesteps last year. I doubt the flaps or steps would have changed since then

It isn't a closeup of the wheel arch area but good enough resolution to open in full size and zoom in to appreciate the clear gap between the front end of the step and the flap.

Just ordered fixed SS with front & rear mudflaps to be fitted to my 2016.5MY, collect on Wed so will let you know. (Also Lancaster.) Gone:

thats great mate. can you do me a favour pls and if you dont have any issues with the fitting can you give me the name of the dealership/and or contact name in the service department so that i can get lancasters wolverhampton to call them to advise them that its possible to fit both.

i know lancasters in wolverhampton only opened a few weeks ago so i am a bit concerned they dont really know what they are doing or that they dont have people there who are experienced enough to give a definate answer.

I vaguely recall there may have been different types of mud flaps for fixed and deployable sidesteps though.

Yes, they are 21". I would probably want to go the other way and get 20s to improve the already comfortable ride even further and to reduce the chance of kerbing. That's not what you wanted to hear though  Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

can you also let me know what dealer you purchased from pls and also did they fit the regular front mudflaps or did they fit the mudflaps that are compatible with the deployable side step ?

rrsfan are you really in a LR dealers as they seem to be telling you all sorts of rubbish. Change dealership. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.
