I fitted a Philips DRL kit similar to that on my old hst, and the controller in that kit wired in so that drl's came on with ignition and when actual lights switched on dimmed drl's to 50%. Pretty sure you can buy controllers on fleabay which do same thing.

Thanks for that Col, From what i have read so far it seems some led’s in drl are happy to dim amd some are not so i have emailed seller who actually sells the dimmer control units for drl’s so hopefully they will work with these. Not sure how to wire them together though because theres 2 reds and 2 blacks on the dimmer boards to go to each light but these drl say you need to use the module supplied which converts both positive and negative wires from each light into one.
