I bought a used set of 19" Wranglers for winter use on 1st RRS and they were a big improvement - miles better than the 20" Scorpions Rolling Eyes

DS came with 19" Wranglers and they were good too - I couldn't get them in Mitsy size hence the Conti winters as I wasn't even trying the fitted Toyo summers Shocked Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Thought I should post an update for you Sid Whistle

Just passed 17k miles with overall average of 83 mpg since new and still no faults after almost 2 years of ownership - soon be time to visit the dealer for second service and expensive shopping trip to Leeds with swmbo - good job service is covered already Rolling Eyes

As already posted elsewhere 100 miles trip to Whitby and back this week achieving 45 mpg off a single charge was the icing on the cake Mr. Green

I've now sold the Lexus so the money is burning a hole in my pocket and I'm wondering if I continue searching for a Series 2 or maybe an XK to balance my carbon footprint Laughing

I fancy a Volvo T8 but that would mean getting rid of the faultless Mitsy for a more expensive phev with less range plus Andy will kill me if I don't use the set of alloys he just sorted Wink

Other option is upgrading to a 5hs with all the bells and whistles but I'll lose the free ved and besides it's more fun having two vehicles - stops me getting bored Twisted Evil Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

If you really want a fun car that will fit in your garage easily then I had a blast in the lady friend’s Mini Cooper Roadster last weekend - this isn't A Mini Convertible, that is much bigger than the roadster - hers is one of the last built, 2.0litr 4 pot motor 6 speed auto - it is awful to drive with the hood up as the visibility out is terrible but hood down it is a total blast and you should easily match mitsu’s petrol only Mpg.The Roadster is the drop head version of the tiny Coupe, the one that looked like it was wearing a flat cap back to front! Strictly two seats but it has a huge boot compared to the convertible and not many were built so they are becoming rare. It has an electric hood too albeit a tiny rag of a fabric roof! You feel like you are doing huge speeds with the hood down but actually when I looked at the speedo we weren’t ever doing over 55mph and surprisingly supple suspension as hers doesn’t have run flat tyres. A real roller skate with a motor! It is also beautifully built - hers has no rattles at all even with 20k on the clock and the rough tracks that count as roads up here. This one isn’t hers, its a library picture from a well known search engine.

2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

It's got to be the Series II, Muddy. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

We had a mini one previously as second car and it was good. My son has a cooper and is trying to sell it to me but Swmbo isn't interested and won't entertain a convertible - messes her hair up apparently and she doesn't like being low down Rolling Eyes

I suggested I might buy a bike to relive my youth but was threatened with divorce - ummhhh might save me some money Confused

Muddy,
Does your 83mpg include any adjustment to allow for the cost of the electricity used to charge the battery?

No it doesn't Tim but if you want to work it out here are elec costs Whistle

September 2016 £13
October £29
November £26
December £24

January 2017 £30
February £16
March £27
April £28
May £24
June £22
July £22
August £24
‎September £20
‎October £21
Nov £27
‎Dec £34

‎Jan 2018 £18
Feb £21
Mar £24
Apr £21

The above doesnt distinguish free electric when parked as it's from the on-board computer and assumes I paid for everything - it also doesn't take into account free parking when charging either which saves me about £10 every time I visit York and swmbo practically lives there Laughing

Basically I know it's not really 83.7 mpg when you include electric costs but with free ved and free parking it's not far off Mr. Green Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Muddy, I can not believe you still have the float. Now be honest, what mpg, when running just on the petrol engine, 30 ish mpg Whistle

What do you love about the float:-
The driving experience Whistle
The ride and handling Embarassed
The pulling factor Rolling with laughter
The looks Shocked
The cost saving Thud

Anyway on a more serious note, I hope your Heath is on the up

Already been over this Syd Whistle

Worst tank on PHEV was Feb 2017 during week in Cotswolds off grid @ 34 mpg but 45 mpg on the 100 mile jolly last week is more normal if no charging available on longer runs - last 2 tanks on Lexus were 30 mpg which was big disappointment Rolling Eyes

I'll admit you got me on most of other points but ride is ok - certainly better than the Lexus and what it lacks on your other points I can live with for the savings and still have enough money left over to buy something for fun and I'm so laid back now someone else needs to take over my Victor Meldrew position Rolling with laughter

I know I know, but is a prerequisite on this Form to pick on you and the float. Ner Ner Plus unable to pick on ADY as he is Mr Exterminator / Moderator, and BC, well lets forget BC for the time being.

Took most of Saturday to fit the towbar -
