Imperial have actually offered me a better trade-in than LR, but IMHO their asking price on the RRS is too much. I'm going to play the waiting game: they will have to drop their price in a month or so, and then I'll go bargain. --

Chaps, something odd about this vehicle: it has the Autobiography badge (I checked on Topix), but only the grill seems to be from that spec, and the front & rear bumpers look to be standard?

What does Topix list it as, HSE? It's easy to stick a badge on it and take the car to a non franchised dealer who isn't familiar with the models (or the dealer stuck an eBay purchased badge on himself!) not expecting someone who knows about the cars to view it. If in doubt leave well alone or demand a price more in line with the spec that Topix says it is! I stand to be corrected on the but isn't the badge on the left side of the boot on a genuine one? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Topix lists it as Autobiography, but still, a bit strange that only the grill & the wheels have the look.

Mind you, that is probably a good thing: all the bells & whistles of Autobiography without the fugly bumpers that will drag when going off-road  --

Don't forget that UK/European spec is often different to the rest of the world spec - e.g. In Aussie they have an SE model L494 which we don't get any more in the UK. US spec misses out on a lot of the gadgets we have because their DoT won't type approve the toys! I quite agree with you about the huge cheese grater front bumper on the Euro spec versions, I think it looked very ugly, I like the small silvery grille though 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

That looks very similar to mine (also a 2012 autobiography in orkney grey) except yours looks like it has black lower bumpers and sides? Mine are colour coded. My autobiography badge is on the right side of the rear when looking from the rear.

Mine says it's autobiography on Topix and the V5 so I'm fairly confident that it is one.

But mine doesn't have side steps. Are they optional?

yeah, the side steps are optional here, original owner probably specced it like that --
