My12 SDV6 running temperature?

Hi again, I'm hoping someone can help me ...again...

My RRS appears to be running rather hot, the temp gauge in the dash literally goes to halfway almost immediately and then stays there. Is this normal? I'm sure it used to be just above low line. What's the normal running temp for a MY12 sdv6?

Also, the fan kicks in when running but stops as soon as the car is turned off. Therefore the engine seems to remain rather warm for hours after use... Again, is this normal?

Thank you in advance

I have a 2012 sdv6 and the fan starts immediatly on mine also but temperature gauge doesnt shoot up until after driving for a little bit but sits in the middle.

I do notice after driving the car stays hot for a long time also.

If your temperature gauge shoots up really quick maybe check the radiator coolant?
