Collection of new RRS

Collection of our new car has now been confirmed for the 1st September from our supplying dealer, although I have had quite a few new BMW's & jags this will be my first Range Rover & first time picking up a new plated car on the 1st. Has anyone had any issues with supplying dealers that I would need to keep an eye on, ie faults with new cars, shoddy valeting etc that they have tried to get you to accept?

I feel that every new car should be as near perfect as possible especially this marque, that's the reason I pay the premium for new prestige cars. I am just trying to prepare myself for hopefully an enjoyable experience & not a battle like I had with my last new Bmw.

Any experiences good or bad would be welcome!

Mine was perfect. In fact the prep was remarkably good. Others have found it less so, only you can decide if what you are presented with tallies with your expectations. It should be faultless, inside and out.

Enjoy your sleepless nights for a week! (sleepless due to happy expectation, not worrying!) MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Check and double check it's exactly what you have ordered, don't settle for " we will look into that " and don't sign to except until your 100% happy.

Never had a issue with three cars I've had the one I collected on the 1st of March was more of a rush to get cars in and out as so many people want the new car on the first.

The ones collected on other random dates I could have spent all day with the car before driving it off

Congratulations and enjoy the experience. You've paid for it.

Depending on how particular you are you might like to tell them not to wash it!

My advice is as above and check order completely.

Get the dealer to demo all options to make sure they all work.

Also I would avoid dealer paint protection. If you want it, go to a good car detailer and get Opticoat Pro or Gtechniq Crystal serum (or similar). Dealer prices are a rip off and the products they use are inferior to the above mentioned. 2016 Range Rover Sport SDV8 HSE Dynamic (Indus Silver/Santorini Black Pano Roof, Ebony/Cirrus leather, custom grey Style 508 alloys)

Picked up our new HSE Dynamic today from Stratstone in Cheltenham, really pleased with it, hand over was good, only one slight mark on one of the rear pillars on the black roof which was polished out within the hour, the drive home was great, glad to be back in s JLR vehicle!

Here are a few pics

Looks great m13lky, enjoy.

Did you get paint protection?

Btw, are you guys in the UK getting offered complimentary Stealth packs on the HSE Dynamic? Just noticed the limited time offer here in Oz.

Dr fox, no complementary stealth pack however I did get a really good discount, free service pack, free pure guard & deposit contribution because it was a stock car, but it was the exact spec we wanted anyway!

Tyre fitter did you see this exact car in a stratstone dealers showroom or do you just mean the same general spec?

Thanks for the comments guys.

It must have been a good discount to have travelled from Scotland to Cheltenham to purchase your new vehicle. Long ride home, though. The RRS will eat the miles. Enjoy.

I specced it on the LR site then got a price from a broker then got back to LR ealers & they matched price which was about 69k with mud flaps, heated steering wheel, extra large washer bottle.

Ok we did similar & were down south on holiday, went into this dealer just on the off chance & they had the exact car we built apart from the red brake calipers in stock at another branch, that's why we bought it down there! Some things are meant to be, hopefully!
