United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

But what your going to lose on the DS could buy a hell of a lot of diesel.

The tax rebate on phev more than covers the depreciation on DS Andy Cool

I don't need another SUV or the reliability issue of a sc rrs - I fancy a sports car while I'm still young enough to get in and out though Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

The thing is Muddy, that its not a 39.5k SUV because the market says they ain't worth that. In fact, the market says they are worth 24.5k, something to keep in mind when you try to bail out after 6 months of parsimonious boredom.

The F Type is a great idea, the PHEV, only time will tell.

I saw a 6 months old phev for £27.5k but it was sold before I could enquire - there have been couple more around same price sold while I was looking

£8400 discount is deal related - the other £6400 is tax rebate as l have my own company and phev have tax breaks Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Even in the elevated market occupied by Range Rovers, value for money is a factor in purchasing decisions.

The latest changes to specs and options by LR to the RRS mean that, in order to get a similar spec to my 3 year old SDV6 HSE, I would have to spend an additional £5K (at least) to get the TFT instruments etc. This makes the cost to change just too large to stomach for little gain.

That was a big factor in my change to the Lexus RX450H. So we shall see how I get on after I collect it on Friday. Regards

Malcolm

I've gone for GX4h which is close to DS HSE spec but I get Privacy, Roof rails, Heated Steering Wheel, Timed/Remote Climate and 360 degree cameras as standard - these are all extras on DS Shocked

DS HSE costs £42900 with the above options added and discounts are difficult to get due to demand

GX4h costs £39500 with them included free - discount of £8400 + £6400 tax rebate for company/phev - that means I pay £18k less and I get a 5 year warranty, free RFL, and no fuel costs up to 32 miles per day Mr. Green Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I think I know how you feel. Yesterday I brought up the subject of downgrading again to save a bit of money next time we change car (not any time soon though). Got a flat refusal Rolling Eyes With hindsight, returning home from a long and thoroughly enjoyable trip during which the car was faultless and performed brilliantly, wasn't perfect timing on my part Neutral Need to scheme better and prepare the case with the new road tax rules and some numbers thrown in. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Now imagine pulling up in a 5.0 sc xk or f-type and my old DS or RRS pulls alongside and I'm thinking this is much better while they're looking at me and thinking if only it was suitable for the family and winter Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Cairns Blue

Hi Muddy, iv'e read this thread all the way through and can see where your coming from (sort off). I like many of us often get the old laptop out and see what toys are out there for the next purchase, often the other half will ask "what you found this time" for us. She will then make the effort (if refilling her wine glass) to see what wonderful vehicle i have on screen, then, reminds me its very nice, BUT it will never be a RANGE ROVER...., now put the laptop away and have another play tomorrow Big Cry Thumbs Up 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!!
