Squeaky bed spring suspension

I have the dreaded annoying squeaky suspension noise going on, car is used offroad a lot so am I right in thinking it will be the ARB bushes or is it something else Question

Is this a LR warranty job Question if so I will get the crankshaft position sensor recall done at the same time. Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Could be a hub bush. They squeak when worn. I doubt it would be warranty work if it is. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

As ever, try and get it done under warranty first.....
If that fails, take it to a decent Indie = West 4x4, Gotts or Rovertune Thumbs Up

Yes I thought it would be alittle overgrown at this time of year Rob!

It's going into LR on Wednesday morning, fairly sure it's ARB bushes but we will see how we get on. But either way it needs sorting before the Pyreness trip next month Big Cry 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

At least now all genuine LR parts are guaranteed for 2 years.
Some people will still have to pay for fitting of course, unless they are covered by a LR warranty. John

There is that Johnski but I can't believe a set of bushes can't even last a year! Sub standard parts really. You would think that Land Rover would have modified them by now being as they are a know problem area!

Must have been the off-road course at Kelmarsh that finished them off this time! Rolling Eyes 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Less worried about the bushes as the ARBs themselves. My rear one has a heavy weep... Big Cry 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Just spent 2k on new EGRs, 8 glow plugs, an inlet plenum and intercooler (both split). Need to buy 4 tyres for the trip. Going to pack a litre of PAS fluid for the trip. Embarassed

Going to get the ARB done with some other stuff in the future. Needs new suspension bushes and struts too, really.

Bit of a perfect storm of age-related stuff needing doing. Ah well, no kids to feed so got to spend my money on something... Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

You may be pleased to know that the new model isn't any better when it comes to consuming the bushes. Mine had the front ARB bushes changed a few months ago. The car was just 1.5 year old and had only done 14k miles at the time Shocked Apart from a day last year and a day this year at LRE West Country organised events, the car had been off-road may be once or twice for a couple of hours in total. All very gentle stuff so no excuses.

They weren't noisy all the time and as is typical, didn't do it in front of the techie no matter how much we tried. I had to record it when it occurred and take the car back to them. But there was no way I was going to live with it or wait for it to get worse on a car like this! Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

The ARB bushes are arily by how fast you go in and out of corners/round-abouts as that's when they're under load.

So if you find it's eating bushes it might be an idea to assess your driving style and maybe buy a hot-hatch Laughing
