Having searched I find several cars not storing the Classic FM channel for TMC, my 2007 doesn't store it either but has anyone found a solution? Dealer wants it for a day, LR Cust Care say they've never heard of the problem (big surprise). The Satnav is clearly Alpine-sourced but the Alpine satnav in my D2 works just fine so I'm a bit puzzled..... Cheers

As far as I understand it, you don't need to "store" Classic FM to get TMC updates (I never stored in on mine and managed to still get TMC to work) but your car does need to be able to receive it. This is what seems to be the problem for a lot of people - patchy reception. If you listen to the station as you drive around, is it clear?

I pressed the seek command whilst in UK and it found the appropriate channel - from then on received TMC.

Now here in Holland have not touched it and still receives TMC info. Not sure how the thing works but it does - so no problem. MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Never set it here in Belgium either but it works...and much better than with the navigation system in our Volvo. The volvo requires that a destination be entered for the TMC to work while in the RRS it works in map mode. Hi Simon

I have and have had since the car was new the same problem. Mine has been back at the dealers many times , but they have no solution. It seems strange but I live in the same area as you and always have the problem here . I went down to the South West in the summer for two weeks and had no problem at all . There must be a solution .

Hi Nick, I'm pretty convinced its an antennae issue, given the base satnav is Alpine I'll bet it has a seperate antennae for the TMC tuner in the sat nav box. My D2 has Alpine satnav with TMC and seems much better even in the same location...I'll try and find out the antennae config as it >may< be possible to fit an Alpine antennae and improve things.... Cheers

This is the problem with mine, and I think I posted this question before. If you start the system in an area where reception is bad the Sat Nav starts to retune and locs on to the nearest station. I park daily in an underground carpark. I wish there was a way to stop this automatic retune, as only Classsic FM broadcast TMC in the UK.
