Just watched both TG and Extra Gear on iPlayer this morning as I watched what I thought would be a much more interesting program about The Battle Of Jutland on another channel at the same time last evening...................... Glad that I watched the program about the Battle of Jutland TBH. Why oh why didn't the BBC grasp the nettle and take the opportunity to seriously refresh the program? Same old pile of puerile rubbish but with the main presenter behaving more like a 5 year old than a 45 year old, with all the shouting and screaming I felt embarrassed for Matt Lablanc to be honest. Extra Gear................ Bin it, seemed to be a rehash of what had been shown on TG with different presenters. I doubt that I will be back as long as Chris Evans is the lead presenter (and I couldn't stand Clarkson either but at least he was a bit funny) and that is from someone who rarely missed a broadcast in the previous 25+ years. Maybe they should dump Evans and just leave the presentation to Matt Lablanc ........................ Or bring back Chris Geoffy and Sue Barker............. I totally agree. A TOTAL waste of time. I'll not be wasting any more watching this puerile drivel. I guess the programme was too much of a money spinner for the BBC to have scrapped the show and develop a new motoring themed offering, but this is just not worth the effort. Can't see the new Top Gear being the success of its previous incarnation.

Hemo, the two presenters of EG would make a far better set of presenters of TG than the team that is there.............. Even though Chris Harris is of the opinion that there is only one car maker in the world - Porsche................. Just like Hammond!

BTW I heard on the news at lunchtime that the viewing figures were "disappointing". 4million. Apparently Chris Evans stated that if it didn't get more than 5 Million last night then the programme would be considered a flop...................
