Switch the ignition system on and ensure that the touch screen is active and that no other phone is currently docked to the vehicle’s Bluetooth® system. 2.Using the mobile phone, search for Bluetooth® devices. On some phones, this is referred to as a new paired device. See your phone's operating instructions for further information.3.When the vehicle's Bluetooth® system is discovered (named Land Rover), select this device from the list. 4.When prompted, enter the Bluetooth® PIN (Personal Identification Number). When pairing and docking from your mobile phone, this number is always 2121.5.Once your phone is paired and docked to the system, it can dock automatically. If it does not automatically dock, you will have to dock manually with the Land Rover Bluetooth system, via the mobile phone. Please consult the mobile phone’s instructions for further information.

I bought an X5 35d MSport last year and sold the piece of crap after eight weeks, it was in the garage being fixed for five of those!

Before buying my first RRS a few year ago, loads of people tried putting me off saying they were unreliable etc but I found the complete opposite and after owning over fifty cars in the last ten years the RR Sports I've owned have cost me the least of all cars!

Evening folks!

Soooooo almost a week's ownership of my RRS 2010 HSE and I absolutely love it!!!!!! Absolutely lovely drive and the feather-light steering is just AWESOME!!!!!!! My past 7 cars have either been a BMW 5-Series, Audi A4, BMW 7-Series or BMW X5. I am genuinely astounded to say that this is my favourite! Okay its the honeymoon period and things could change quickly but so far, so good!

Thank you to everyone who told me to go for it! Very Happy

The car was owned by Land Rover as a demonstrator and then 1 lady owner. She clearly liked her jewellery so there are some feint superficial scratches on the LCD screen - what is the easiest way to fix this? Also the area where the brake discs sit are corroded and spoil the look - what would be the best fix for this?

Also how do you adjust the seats at the rear of the car?

Sorry for all the questions but I am a bit of a perfectionist I'm afraid Sad

Brake discs are usually made of gray cast iron... pretty much unavoidable to get that corrosion. Good news is it isn't detrimental in any way! You can have the discs machined and refinished, but the corrosion will be back quite quickly. MY08 RRS TDV6, Chawton/Black, sunroof, hk, 268k km

So conclusion to my RRS story which I can only describe as a love-hate relationship. I owned my RRS for around a 1 year and a half and for most of my ownership, it was great. Fantastic to look at, wonderful to drive, awesome sound system, lots of features and a car my family loved.....until the last 6 months of ownership when it quickly became the worst car I have ever had the displeasure of owning.

I was driving down the A45 when it suddenly just stopped. Literally 40mph to 0mph (with whole family in the car) and out of the blue it switched off. Fortunately the car managed to swerve and avoid hitting us. I managed to get the family to a safe place and then waited 4 hours to get the car recovered. £800 later the car was back on the road, I can't recall what the exact issue was but Tyseley 4x4 sorted it. Car was then ok for a month until I was driving it on Warwick Road and once again, out of the blue, it switched off. 6 hours later it was recovered and dumped outside Tyseley 4x4. I was quoted £4000 to replace the turbos. After much research I found a place in Wolverhampton who could replace the turbos without removing the engine. Got the job done for £2500, car came back, after two weeks every warning light you could think of, came on.

In addition to all this, the heater stopped working and I was quoted £400 to repair it. I was unable to find a single garage that I could trust, both Tyseley 4x4 and Motor Serv took the Censored out of me. An example, the windscreen wipers stopped working and Motor Serve quoted me £60 to repair them. Tyseley 4x4 charged me £10! I thought great, Tyseley 4x4 is a place I can trust. I then used them to service my Rangey and replace brakes etc. On one occasion they replaced my brakes and put faulty brakes on. The car juddered all over the place after fitting. It was holiday period time so they asked me to bring the car back after the holidays.

I took it back, they replaced the faulty brakes and then charged me additional £100 labour as I had brought the car back outside of 14 days....after THEY went on holiday, fitted faulty parts and delayed the work!!

After this I was done, I sold the car at a huge loss and went back to my safe and sound German vehicle.

So in conclusion, based on my experience of a Range Rover Sport (2010), they are truly fabulous cars to drive but when they go wrong they go horribly wrong. Both my best and worst experience of owning a car.

Oh and Land Rover customer service is APPALLING!

Having said all this, I am now sat in front of my laptop looking for......a Range Rover Sport. This is how much I LOVED driving it. However I am only going to take the plunge if someone can recommend a trustworthy, honest and genuine Land Rover specialist to look after it.

Happy New Year!
