Bottle Jack or Scissor Jack..do we need both?

Good day to all. I recently took charge of my first RRS MY 2012 after years of ownership of almost the full suite of Land Rover products. Looking under the floor, I see that I have a space for the bottle jack. Did this come as standard? I do have the scissor jack.

Second and third questions. Do we need both, and if yes why?

All the best for now. Loving the forum.

Not so sure about the bottle jack being standard, most of the space under the floor is taken up with tow bar, first aid kit and lots of other accessories,,, including the scissor jack, if you have the full kit.
The scissor jack itself is not trusted by very many people and quite a few actually carry a bottle jack rather than risk a "not so strong" standard jack. 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch
heated everything, TV,fridge ...... now with gold calipers and mud flaps !( black mud flaps that is) !!
Many years ago,,,,, 1955 series 1 landie , sometimes wish I had kept it

The bottle jack goes on the right hand side. I don't think it was standard.
Towbar on the left.

Thanks gents. I will look round for a bottle jack, as I prefer them.

Actually although it may be called a Bottle Jack Buy L/R Pt. No. KAJ500151 it is Not a Hydraulic Jack it is still a Screw Jack, as I have one in my Sport. It may be better than the Scissor Jack but not a lot.

Cheers
