problem with eta panel on navigation screen

Hi all, a quick question about the small eta screen on the navigation panel. On my 2014 motor the little eta screen on the left was split into two, horizontally. The top section showed a distance and time countdown, and the lower one the ETA time, as shown on page 226 of the handbook. On my Dec 16 model the top half of this screen only shows the distance to go, but not the remaining time of travel left. In effect it is only repeating what is shown in the lower half. I've mentioned this to my dealer who agrees that there is something wrong, but only one other person has complained and he had a FFRR. Am I alone in this problem? Pushing the red spot emits a beep noise, but that's all. I believe on my earlier model pressing this enabled me to toggle between views

It sounds like a bug in the navigation software and is likely to be model independent.

Check with the dealer that you have the most up to date version available and if you do, get them to report the problem to LR who will probably bin it as "Unable to recreate".

Mind you, the ETA is rather inaccurate because it does not take account of prevailing traffic conditions. I run a TomTom in parallel and the LR ETA always starts wildly different from the TomTom only to converge to it as the journey progresses. The TomTom time is uncannily accurate because it has full knowledge of the traffic en-route. Mark

Thanks guys. I'll wait for the results from my dealer when he checks the ffrr & get it booked in. Remind me, what should happen when the red button is pressed?
kind regards

I guess I wasn't going mad!!

I have this exact same issue on my MY16 SVR, don't normally use my satnav but was in the UK on the Easter weekend with my car and noticed this and thought it was odd.

Will be interested to know the outcome to point my dealer in the right direction to perform the minor fix on mine 2019 Urban Urus - May Delivery. Gone to the dark side...

hi rrs, it seems odd that we're the only two experiencing this. If my dealer gets back to me with a fix I'll let you know.

Same on mine, MY16, TOP box shows ETA and distance to travel, rather then time and distance as lower box shows ETA.

Hi,

I've been having a play with my month old AB and found out the following:-

1. I haven't got the "Dual ETA" issue.

2. I've found that if you just load a destination, the red button appears and beeps if you press it but nothing happens however, if you select a second destination and make it a way point...then press the red button you get:-

If you then select the way point:-

And then press the black arrow in the left hand box you will find "1" in place of the red button and the ETA and journey time now reflect the run to "waypoint 1"... like this:-

I hope this helps.

hi scrumps. I've tried what you suggested, it does do as you state yours does, but it doesn't solve the dual eta issue. That is still there, or not there, on all screens.
It seems odd that so few cars are affected.
thanks for your input.
kindest regards
