PIL PUMP REPLACING

due to me revving the car like a dick yesterday morning before warming the engine up i now have to have a new oil pump

Does anyone know approx costs and time to fix. They are saying 20 hours??!?!

EDIT: Possibly closer to 4. Lost track of time yesterday. Either way, 20 hours is very excessive...

Sorry to hear! That does sound like a load of hours! Maybe you could get another quote from somewhere else for comparison.

Out of interest. What should be the appropriate time to warm up an RRS? In my case a SDV6

I always leave it ticking over until i get seatbelt, seats on etc, but is this long enough in general in baltic weather before driving off.

The car always seems to rev high when pulling our of our street in a morning, i invariably end up using the paddles to knock her up a gear or two to keep the revs down until she's warmed up.

If the crank seal has popped out, it will have contaminated the cam belt, and is strongly advised to be replaced at the same time...
