In the UK there is an option to have this done as part of configuring your car - so it will come painted from factory? If you decide to do this after market there should be no issue as I had my 2015 HSE done by the supplying dealer. Never had any issues. Yes sensors were painted too. |

No issues, had the side sills, front and rear corners as well as front and rear bumpers painted. The parking sensors are painted without issue but the black circle outlines will remain. 2016 SCV8 Dynamic - Firenze Red/Pimento |

For those who have had their plastic side sills and bumpers painted, can you see any of the texture of the plastic after painting, or does it have a completely smooth surface like the rest of the painted vehicle body? I have had both a body shop and a painter who paints for the local Land Rover dealer express concern over the finished product, with respect to both the texture and the color appearance (i.e., issues with matching).

I can't see why they could't do as good a job as the factory, and my factory-painted sills etc. are identical to the main body in both smoothness and colour. In any case, isn't the boot plastic, and that looks OK? |

High build primer will take care of any surface texture.

It's like the body in appearance and touch in my opinion.

If you find out from your dealer who their recommended body shop is, they will be able to paint them. 2016 Range Rover Sport SDV8 HSE Dynamic (Indus Silver/Santorini Black Pano Roof, Ebony/Cirrus leather, custom grey Style 508 alloys) |

Yes, I've spoken to the dealer who has given me a few names. It seems like it is quite a common thing to get done. |

That's not surprising given how much better they look with it done. |
