Interior lights

Hi all, I have a minor irritating problem. The rear interior lights don't come on when the doors are opened but can be switched manually. I'm sure I've read that the system can be re set, is this correct ?

No they cannot be reset, but I believe the is a Modification you can do to the wiring to enable this.

Thanks for the replies. I find it very odd that they make the car with no automatic rear lights.

or triple flash indicators, or folding mirrors, or one touch windows all round, or side/headlight dash alert, or aux port on the dash, or Bluetooth audio streaming, or a dash clock, or.......... Rolling with laughter

Yep, but 3-flash indicators and the clock on the dash can be enabled and, to a degree, so can the sidelight tell tale. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

True they can be enabled, but why aren't they a standard feature !?

Also the disco and full fat have an actual clock on the dash, the side light alert would be better if it was an actual alert rather than a repurposed one.

Well at least they did become standard in 2007. As far as bluetooth streaming goes, it's easy to look at with hindsight, but I suppose that just wasn't so big back then. I'd take the old fashioned simple interface with buttons over a touchscreen controlled network of connections any day! Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Oh yeah, the aux port in the back is a bit stupid, a couple of times the kids have pulled the plug out accidently in the dark. I'm slowly getting used to finding the clock now. I'm surprised with the lack of thought, they didn't put the clock in the boot !! Laughing

Someone should build and sell a wiring kit for rear reading lamp conversion. Regards etc.,
