United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

I've got the same sound and "clicking" through the gear shift. I always thought this was a natural feature so haven't really investigated further.

I will check out a few new vehicles tonight, just to confirm if my vehicle is any worse than standard. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

OK................ back from the dealers - a case of wait and see now Confused

I also mentioned my extremely noisy windscreen wipers , it would appear that the tensioners on them are slack , so they have been ordered for replacement. Will book into get done when LR report back to dealer with solution for the footbrake/solenoid issue.

OK - car is in at the dealers today [ 8am ] just had a call 9.40am to say that they have fitted the new solenoid & guess what Sad ............. YES .. you've guessed, it does exactly the same. CLICK ....CLICK ...CLICK ....CLICK ...CLICK ....CLICK ... Mad

I notice this more and more each & every time I get into the car and go throught the ritual of selecting a gear from "P" with my foot on the footbrake. It's as annoying and about as good as the poxy rear courtessy lights are able to illuminate the rear of the car Banging Head Still ...... at least I know my car can climb a vertical rock face ............ usefull that Wink

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

My car has done this from new - I wondered if it was something to do with the route that the cable (if there is one!) is lead from the footbrake to the interlock that stops you engaging D without first depressing the brake. I have just accepted it as being yet another of those "characteristics of the car" - it is becoming a car full of "characteristics" 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
