England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red
Gearbox Oil change

I would like to change the gearbox oil on my 2005 110Kmiles TDV6.

I haven't seen any how2 guides on here for that. Does anyone know of one?

Can anyone recommend where to purchase the oil & filter ?
I've had a bit of a look on ebay.

I'm considering using some Mobil 71141 oil

How much oil do I need. I have seen 7l and 9l mentioned.

Must I change the plastic sump too ?

Do these have a dipstick tube, to insert a service dipstick like a Merc ?

Thank you.

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

May not be a "how to" guide but there will be lots of info regarding this as it's quite a popular subject. Ry a search for Gearbox,, or Gearbox oil, I'm sure you wil find something.
Regarding the type of oil, I'm not sure if I would be using Mobil,, there is a specific oil recommended for the Gearbox and it's not particularly cheap, again you will find it somewhere n the forum. As for dipstick,,,,there is a plug in the side of the Gearbox and it's fill to spill,, but do search for the info, lots of good tips to be had 2010 RRS, TDV8

...however, at 110k I would recommend you have a full flush (ASAP) to renew as much fluid as possibe because it's overdue. Thumbs Up

Transmission service

lots of posts and video, do a search on Range Rover transmission fluid change...I did my transmission service on my 2007 RRS last week. my biggest issue was the motor mount shifted and adding oil with the engine on next to a hot cat exhaust. it is do able, but a helper is necessary to pry and align to motor mount bolt. Good luck...
