United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost
Software Upgrade ?

Just had a phone call from my local Stealership.

They have said that my vehicle is due for an onboard computer software update. They require my motor for about three hours to do this, so what else will they be doing besides the software update?

I may sound a bit sceptical on this but there is no way a software upgrade alone would take circa three hours. The whole vehicle software package is down loaded in around ten minutes on the production line.

Has anyone else had this upgrade done recently? Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Yep, mine was in last week and as a result I got the car back with a 6" nail in the nearside rear tyre! Free upgrade an £160 for a new Conti as the nail was in the side wall and not the tread............
I don't know what they upgraded as the only thing I have noticed that is different is the throttle is a bit more responsive and the fuel consumption is down a bit. (ie worse!) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Thanks for that Tim. I'll make a special request for them to avoid all 6" nails in mine. Rolling Eyes Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
