Can I ask why?

I loved my 2010 with a split tailgate, and miss it so much on my 2014 model

There's always one Yawn

Yeah sure I hated the 2 piece Whistle
I prefer the look of the one piece. Laughing

Spain

I am NOT knocking the conversion you have done, what you have done to a low spec car is another story altogether, I take my hat off to you Bow down Thumbs Up
However, I guess I am one of the odd ones. Big Cry Whistle I nearly always use the top half of the tailgate, I only open it fully when putting large or heavy objects in the back. However I doubt I would miss this if I had the one piece power opening and closing tailgate. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Good job we are all different then Rolling Eyes some like the 2 piece some like the one piece. I just did not like gap between the two boots, and that ugly looking plastic round external boot release button.
I also like the silver strip as its in line. Plus I love working on my car Whistle

Guess there's more than one.....

Why the hostility? You put on a single piece tailgate, which is neither powered nor has the correct hinges.

I merely asked why you did it, and you launch into yawning and whistling emoji's....... But of a dick move, but fair enough. Your motor to do th what you like.

I don't like it, and it's one of the things I miss most about my 2010HSE. MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

If you read the posts where does it say it has the incorrect hinges ???? I put the correct hinges on. The 2 piece hinges will not even fit.
I'll get the electric struts working next as I have a set I could not tackle them over the Christmas period wife would of gone mad Razz
I fitted the tailgate as I hated the 2 piece. Again in the posts the tailgate is aluminium press the key fob or tailgate button the tailgate lifts in a smooth action as its much lighter then the previous. My old 2 piece would not even lift without a push.
When you say about the emoticons " bit of a dick " Shocked
Sorry but don't read the post then. I was only answering your questions.
You and many others like the tailgate top opening. I personally did not. I'm not knocking anyone for liking the 2 piece.

Is there any way you could post a wiring diagram showing the mod you did to get the middle tailgate switch to open? I have a 2008 RRS and like the look of the silver strip. However, I would need the rear switch to work because my vehicle does not have the specific boot release switch on the key fob. (yes i know the bottom LR button on the key can be programed but it can also be easily accidentally un-programmed to do something different, then I would be stuck with a boot that doesn't open.
