Broken Screen

On motorway Wednesday something hit windscreen - crack appeared bottom centre. Third time in 14 months Thud

Have had crack repaired this morning but can still see star crack clearly. Windscreen repairers will have a new screen in on Monday. So should be sorted by Monday PM.

Hopefully straight forward job. MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

You want to see what efforts were needed when these chaps have to fit a new replacement window screen in a MGF = sorted now ........ but when they 1st came out [ we had number 84 of the track ] Rover had got it all wrong & as soon as you went over a pot hole CRACK ........... new screen please Smile ............ Several times this happened .....until rover realised that a certain rubber mount was not being installed correctly [ or not at all ] during the buil process. Shocked

Needless to say - we were well looked after Wink

Unlucky Landlord. That is a big piece of glass to change.

Autoglass took two attempts to change the screen in my old Freelander. They caused about £700 worth of paint damage along the roof line and down the A posts during the first attempt. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Being in Holland at the moment (and the same place as the last 2 breakages) they take everything so seriously here.

Last 2 repairs on other cars had no problems.

Whilst they were repairing todays' crack they cleaned all the windows and vacuumed the floors - front and back. When asked why they were doing it was informed it was part of the service !

Hope Monday they continue the excellent service - will let you know and get a couple of pictures Wink MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,
