United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Thick black fog

Guys,

When i put my foot down in my 2.7my06 i get a thick black fog cloud out the exhaust

but when i chill with the accelerator it doesnt happen.

Is this common?

Check for split turbo hoses (and the intercooler too). EGRs are a possibility (suggest you blank them anyway - easy and cheap), but sounds more like a split hose. Thumbs Up

We had this on our TDV8 (FFRR), black smoke on acceleration.
Was a split hose. Dead cheap and hopefully an easy fix. Check the jubilee clips too Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Siberian Silver

I had this and it was a split in the intercooler. Changed the hoses and blanked the EGRs too

plugged a delphi kit into the car, and the only issue showing was a turboboost lack of power... guessing it might be the split hose then
