RSS 2016 7 Seater Auxiliary battery location?

I had my RRS off the road for a few weeks over xmas while I was awaiting a new DPF.
Since it was off the road it's been a nightmare to start and won't turn over.
I've replaced the main better but cannot find the auxiliary battery to replace it... I've had a look in the boot in the rear right compartment with all the other electrics, but it's not there?
It's a 7 seater version and am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction of the Aux battery??

Also is the Aux easy to source?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I do not think the model you have has an auxiliary battery. These were fitted to to MY2014 to MY2015 models. As they were mainly used for the Stop/Start process, the later models (like yours) had a capacitor installed I believe. This was then located on the right hand side of the boot (where the auxiliary battery would have been fitted). "Every Day is a School Day"

Have you tried putting the battery’s on charge? I put mine on a CTEC charger every now and again and the stop start works again. It also reconditions the battery’s and tells you if they are kaput. I do this by using the terminals under the bonnet and does take a few hours to charge up fully but it does charge the main battery and the aux battery too.

Thanks... that may be the case with the capacitor.
Does anyone have a picture of this?

Also, great idea with charging the battery with the terminals under the bonnet. I'll give that a try too.

So, if my model only has a capacitor rather than an aux and the new battery isn't starting the car correctly... it powers up the dash for a short period sometimes starts and other times either just hear the starter ticking and then dies! I have it booked in with an auto electrics garage on the 1st to explore but thought I'd ask if anyone had similar experience???
