United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Lux Stornoway Grey
Battery warning light/low power mode

Hi

I got the dreaded battery warning light a couple of days ago and yesterday noticed the stereo in low power mode, althgouh this appears intermittent.

Using the system check voltage is reading 11v both before and after ignition/turnover which seems horrendously low, no? Confused

Battery is about 6 months old. Everything else working fine otherwise. Have seen others on here with similar symptoms. There's no suspicious smells from under the bonnet. Will an ECU reset be worth doing or is it likely to be a new alternator? Any ideas?

I'd get standing charge and alternator readings with a proper multimeter and go from there, but if your saying the screen reads 11V with the engine running, then it certainly sounds like your alternator is dead. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
