Is JLR also part of the great emissions scandal?

JLR, what dishonesty might you have been making to emissions and fuel consumption official figures in light of the VW admissions that 11million of their worldwide production is now not in compliance with various emissions regulations?
Maybe it is also time for ALL manuafcturers to clean the slate and issue not just honest emissions figures but also real life fuel consumption figures rather than lab based tests? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Saw an item on the news where emissions were actually four times higher than stated by the manufacturer! I think all of the manufacturers have been economical with the truth!

What surprises me is that anyone is surprised by the "revelation".

Car manufacturers have been diddling their figures for years in one way or another.

What Car launched their true mpg project and it wasn't long before one manufacturer was threatening to sue as the What Car results were way under the manufacturers published figures mpg wise.

I realise it is not mpg on trial here but it shows that manufacturers have manipulated results for years. VAG have been caught out in the US and I doubt it is coincidence that the VAG Group is the biggest threat to home grown auto sales.

The NOx level above the NEDC range of any diesel can be up to 40 x higher too, because they only map to the tests that the cars are subjected to.

It was also no surprise that VAG (and Porsche by implecation as they use VAG diesels in some of their cars) were pretty quick to admit that it wasn't just US market cars but worldwide products that they had been cheating us with. Will this also effect SEAT and Skoda products too? I've just watch the business section of Breakfast Time and the Director of Editorial for What Car and Autocar was interviewed and says that for VAG it is only one model of engine that is about to be withdrawn anyway that is the problem in the US. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Such a pity that JLR is one of the silent manufacturers, nothing officially has been said to deny any possiblity of JLR engine products being compliant or not 3 days after all this surfaced. There is a posting in the L494 section from an employee at Land Rover, but nothing official from the company................. as usual customers are left in the dark by senior management, I'm sure that they just don't believe we exist the way that they hate to speak to us, or are they frightened of us? They certainly will be if lots of diesel powered JLR products are left unsold. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
