Yep pretty embarrassing - someone did factory visit and was advised they are aiming for 80% pass by QC off production line and currently only 60% Shocked

I looked at an SQ5, but that is all i did, was look. Laughing It just didn't do anything for me. I fancied the new RS3 but having a border collie, my vehicle choice had to be an estate. Whistle So settled for the 335d. I like a vehicle with a bit of grunt.

It amazes me that the expectations are that only 80% of cars are expected to pass QC straight off the line. For such expensive vehicles I would have expected a much higher percentage to need no remedial work, for the actual number of cars passing to be as bad as 60% is quite shocking and a sad reflection on the quality of of the management at Land Rover. Maybe Land Rover at Halewood needs to employ more QC inspectors ON the production line rather than at the end of it.
Evoque owners have had to put up with abysmal fit and finish for the last two years, denied by Land Rover but they must have noticed the huge amount of remedial warranty work that the dealer's workshops are carrying out. Cheap/poor quality trim components and poor quality of assembly don't help but it also doesn't help that too many dealers make some pretty basic mistakes when completing customer orders in the Vista sustem and buyers end up with cars with the wrong colour contrast roof, incorrect colour interior, frequently the incorrect headliner and factory fitted optional extras requested by the buyer not being built into the car. Is Land Rover trying to go back to the 1980's? If so then they should also start charging prices commensurate with the product or they are going to loose a lot of hard won and often very loyal customers. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Ady why don't you suggest to your boss to create an "Other Cars" section? Fair amount of discussions go on about various marques on here so not completely "Off Topic" or "Random". An Audi and a BMW sub-section at the very least would see frequent activity and potentially benefit many. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone
Gone: MY13 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition, Orkney Grey/Ivory
Gone: MY09 RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black/Almond

If we had a topic for Other Marques, I feel it might become more popular than the main RRS topics, with the exception of people posting faults with their RRS. Laughing
Then again, It would let JLR see how many customers they are losing to the Germans Embarassed

A lot of the BM forums are very 'merican. The sense of humour and camaraderie among regulars isn't there. I haven't looked at the UK one. All in all though, it's nicer here.........my how I have changed. Rolling with laughter
