Did you get a better deal??

Hi, anyone manage to negotiate a better PCP deal from Landrover??

Just at the point where I need to sign up and wondered if there was any room for negotiation. LR say no.

I have contacted MCH Finance (KAM) and they managed a better rate for me but couldn't match the residual value offered by Landrover and so there is very little in the overall cost.

So did you manage a better rate from Landrover ??

thanks Rigsby MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

Hi, I got my PCP from Halifax at 3.7 % . The monthly payment is £100 less than LR and the balloon is £6000 less. The sales manager told me that LR provide the dealers with a 'fund ' to try to match other finance deals . He told me that he'd have to put in £5000 to match the deal I got and he wasn't prepared to do it. So , to answer your question, yes, they do have the ability to subsidise the finance .

Or open a halifax current account. You only have to have it open for three months to apply and they don't even run a credit check !!

Do you know if you have to use the current account to get the 3.7% rate? I opened an account with them but I haven't actually used it. Plus it was only opened on the 21st July so I'm unable to check what they will offer me. My main current account is with another bank and I really can't be bothered to transfer my main current account over to Halifax.

Hi, I think you probably have to as they assess the amount they will lend and your credit worthiness solely on your account with them. The max they will lend is also £60,000 .

As we thought you need to have the account in place for 3 months before you can apply so that one is out of the window. MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

What if you open the account now and get it running.

In the meantime get the car on LR finance.

After 3 months, clear the finance with the Halifax loan? MY16 SDV6 AB Dynamic Stealth

Worth looking into Hobster Thumbs Up

Does anyone know what the LR flat rate is rather than the APR ?

I think where LR score is on their GFV which always seem to be more than others (as in Andyowens case) so you are actually borrowing less from LR but at a slightly higher rate.

I have had a quote from MHC as I mentioned earlier and their future value is approx £4000 less than LR so you have to borrow an extra £4000 making the overall cost very similar hence why getting a better % rate from LR would be a good deal

Best PCP rate I could get from LR for my L405 was 6.2% APR. I bought my L405 used though. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Swings and roundabouts I suppose as a lower balloon payment means bigger deposit next time Smile
