RRS Virgin

I finally took the plunge with my first RRS. I had no intention of buying this and was just speaking to a dealer on the phone this weekend who happened to be doing a promotional event. I ended up securing a £1500 deposit contribution, Free service pack, and free front/rear mudguards. I think even the road fund licence is included. I have never purchasd a Range Rover before so have no idea about the level of discount I should expect. Have others acheived similar incentives?

Final spec to be confirmed but is as follows:

Yulonga White
5+2
Panoramic Corris Grey Roof
Style 507 21" wheels
Colour Coded bumpers
Privacy Glass

Have I missed anything which is absolutely essential? I may have the capacity to add 1 additional "gadget" option and am considering either HUD, surround view cameras, or park assist. Unfortunately as this was a real impulse buy I cannot really afford to go crazy with options.

I am very nervious, but equally very excited.

Soft close doors are a must if you have little helpers closing doors for you .

You have managed better than most here Thumbs Up Free service pack was all many people could achieve, some slightly more.

Strictly out of these, I would go for HUD. Although personally I think blind spot monitoring and remote park heat are more useful than the options you have listed but everyone has different preferences. Twin blade sunvisors and extra large additional washer bottle are too cheap to miss IMHO. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

I have chosen the RRS HSE MY2016

I have chosen the £2000 panoramic roof option which I think is a grey or black colour.

Most people seem to have Santorini black as the contrast roof colour.

The full size spare is a good deal. MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

I would add surround cameras. I find them really useful and also my wife drives with them permanently on (door mirror view).

I also really like radar cruise, mainly for the forward alert feature.

Upgrade to mid-range Meridian stereo is a must if you plan to listen to music. The base stereo is very weak and lacks a sub-woofer. 2015 Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6, Corris Grey

The RRS is a big car and while visibility is good, if you are spending any money on options, it should be on those which help you protect the car in tight spaces. Depending on where you drive and park, you may find additional parking sensors and surround cameras useful options. Keep in mind the car is far larger than the average parking space is designed for.

I don't have the HUD and while it's an undoubtedly cool option - providing you don't wear polarising sun glasses - it doesn't help when you're trying not to scuff your wheels in a multi-storey. Mark

I wish you could order the 360 parking sensors separately without the self park stuff. Similarly I would like the traffic sign recognition but don't need lane departure.

I spent enough on mine without these Big Cry MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

England 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black

It still frustrates me that the previous owner of mine has the lane departure but deleted the speed limit recognition, Geoff. hasn't replied to my PM's requesting info so I am kinda screwed - I realyl want that feature lol. 2014.5 Mariana Black 5.0 Supercharged V8 Autobiography
