The leather quality is noticeably better on Autobiography derivatives vs HSE derivatives IMHO.

Having looked at HSE and AB models compared to my previous HSE Black addition, the newer model leather work is not as well put together overall as the older 2103 model. D4 2012 Santorini Black gone

5. Turbo lag on pull away, worse than previous model. Will see if this improves as engine loosens.
..

Had this on mine - drove me nuts - its a quick fix that Strastone knew about; brake and accelerator cannot be used at the same time; what was happening is the brake was not releasing once accelerator was pressed; only a split second or two, but enough to make the car do sod all for a couple of secs when trying to pull away at roundabouts etc. They adjusted something on the brake and hey presto- no turbo lag anymore.....

Just have to sort the oil leaks now.... Big Cry[/quote]

Thanks for that , looks like the car will have to go back to dealer to check loose rear quarter panels, so i will mention the lag and your experience. D4 2012 Santorini Black gone

Not yet given to the dealer due to work/travel commitments, but over the last few days it has got better.. I was told on my last model that the system initially "learns" the drivers response, so maybe that has helped, if so its taken 500 miles to do it. Interestingly the "clunk" from the autobox when drive is engaged on 1st morning start up has also stopped??. Would not think its connected though..

having the Bluetooth on means that the music is interrupted all the time when the phone receives a message.

And also when the RDS changes frequency, the system beeps.

Not the mention that I have yet to find a USB stick that gets recognised by the Meridian system Evil or Very Mad --

Thinking about this the things that annoy me are few but ?

1) Great sound system with very low tech interface, can't have Bluetooth and USB source connected at same time. Also input
selection via steering wheel is standard on most vehicles but not the RRS.
2) Very slow Nav
3) Voice control useless as tits on a Bull
4) No Android or Apple connect in MY2016
5) Noisy HUB fan
6) No Tyre pressure monitoring system standard on my year. Should be there for the entry price.
7) No access to air , this should be standard so I can fix punctures with a plug and don't have to remove wheel, a great feature
on my previous car.
Cool Stop Start feature as mentioned by others should be selectable,
9) Vibrating front discs cured by me by changing pad brand and material , Dealer just kept putting OME back on and trouble
returned after a few months.
10) Auto Wipers will go to flat out at times requiring switch off and restart.
11) Heated seats not standard, should be in this price range. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

For Me on an MY16 A/B
The responsiveness of the Sat Nav /ICE goes without saying , you have to learn to press once and wait , not really in my nature !
The shift from forward to reverse doesn't always keep up either , meaning you end up screaming the balls of the engine in neutral rather than zooming off in reverse/ Drive when in a rush .
The angle of the Sat Nav screen in the dash is not the best meaning the clarity of the image is not as sharp as it should be , despite being 6ft you still have to sit up/forward to get a clear image .
The climate seats , in cool mode it cools the base but hardly the back rest at all , I would far rather it was the other way around to keep the back of your shirt dry in hot conditions , if you switch off the base and leave the back on only I don't think it does any cooling at all ! Secondly the three heat settings don't seem to do anything , it's just flat out on all three meaning you are for ever switching it on and off in the winter , the basic electric seat heaters in my Disco 3 are far better !

All of that aside , the rest of the car , especially the ride and handling more than make up for it and I would never want to go back to a steel sprung Q7 despite the in car electronics being about a 100 years ahead in the Audi !

Sounds like the standard non cooling seats are the better option then - mine heat up very quickly and I have to switch them off before they do it automatically because they just get uncomfortably hot. I’ve never found that my bum or lower back gets too sweaty perched on the standard seats. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
