England 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black
Suitcases

Hi Guys,

I am picking up a colleague and his family from the airport next week, he's just told me that he is bringing 4 suitcases.

Now, I understand that case size varies etc but has anyone managed to get that many (or more) in the boot of the L494?

Starting to panic a little bit! 2014.5 Mariana Black 5.0 Supercharged V8 Autobiography

No problem - that would be difficult even in the FFRR or even a Q7 lol

I'm hoping that perhaps with the luggage guard I can pile them up to the roof and they might fit.

Or maybe two on their sides facing one another with another two on the top....I have been sent the measurements so (if) when the range is returned from the dealer tonight I will measure and see if I can figure something out Neutral Banging Head 2014.5 Mariana Black 5.0 Supercharged V8 Autobiography

The first 3 suitcases should fit in the trunk just fine.
Then you could seat the smallest pax on the front seat in the max fwd position possible while asking the second to smallest pax to sit on the seat directly aft of the pax front seat.
Finally just put the suitcase number 4 straight up behind the front pax seat, resting against it.

Thats a good call, thank you!

Considering they've just flown in (in-direct) from DFW they will want to be comfortable and I am sure they didn't want a suitcase on their lap for the 2 hour journey to their hotel Wink 2014.5 Mariana Black 5.0 Supercharged V8 Autobiography

Do you have roof bars so you can use a roof box? Or a trailer? MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

That is my biggest bugbear of the new model, for all its size, the usable boot space is shocking. I regularly take our family of 4 on holiday with my MY10, and it swallows 2 weeks worth of gear and then some!
I've also had weekends away mountain biking with the lads, 3 bikes on the rack and one inside with the wheels off, squashy bags and loads of biking kit. Doubt I could do that with the new one as it is so much narrower in the boot

Cheers
