Scotland 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey
RRS winter tyres

I have a set of 19" RRS rims, I was contemplating putting winter tyres on.
Have any of you had experience with any? The ones that have been reccommended by my tyre dealer are the Goodyear MTR. On looking at them on the website, they seem to be a bit more extreme than I was looking for, as most of my driving is on Road, with odd snow and off road use.

Any advice appreciated,

Thanks

I live in the Northern California/Nevada area which enjoys very "white winters" my RRS came equiped with Conti's which were not rated M&S. I subsequently purchased the Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow

These are by far the best I've yet owned, great in snow, black ice as well as normal highway driving.

Thanks for that advice Davis, they look a lot less "agricultural" than the Goodyears, I will now find out if they are available in the UK.

Did you find much difference on noise or handling on normal road driving than the Contis?

Presumably they fitted the standard 19" alloys OK?

They are very quiet and quite frankly perform as well if not better than the Conti's on normal highway and around town driving.

As for the fit on the rims, like a glove Cool I assume you can find them in the UK, I would be surprised if not.

Good luck...

I have MTRs on my 19's. They look good! Cool The road noise is a lot more than standard Conti/Perillis. As yet not used them on anything but road. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.
