Does anyone have any more information on the new remote controle extra. Is it avalible now, soon or years away.

Awesome, not sure but it was on BBC's One Show on Friday evening.

Just showed it to my dealer who confirmed its a land rover test track he will add it to my order if it's avalible .

Thanks , I have just watched it on the i player . It must be avalible for Land Rover to put it on prime time telly .

It's all a demonstration of what is possible and 'may' be available in the future. Like the pothole avoidance system, and see-through bonnet. Don't hold your breath.

Heard back from land rover today , not available on production vehicles at the moment .

And may be never like this - law needs to change first and not sure there is the will. BMW's system on the new 7 is not remote control, but remote activation of the self-parking system (and still needs someone on board if parallel parking). Notice too on the JLR video that the bloke inside has his had welded to the emergency parking brake
