is this the IID tool i need so i can activate a reverse cam? (ive ordered a lead for the camera that goes into the touch screen from a disco website)

i would also like to activate tow electrics (not yet installed)

The other thing is that that's the non Bluetooth version. It will still do what you want (*) but it is not as good for diagnostics or as easy to use and I would always recommend the BT verion much more highly. You cannont get an automatic reversing camera to work in a satisfactory manner, IMO, without a GVIF interface (like this, for instance: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/land-rover-discove...creen.html). The reversing camera, even if activated, will not work unless the screen is tricked into thinking it's a FFRR by cutting a wire. The catch is that if you do this, you will likely get problems with the ICE systems including loss of Bluetooth. You can access the feed via the hidden diagnostics menu but this is barely worthwhile in the case of a reversing camera.

I wouldn't let that put you off buying an IID though, as they are very useful tools to have.  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
