Cheers for the link, might order a bottle. How many washes do you reckon you get on a 5 litre bottle? And do you just spray it on, leave it a while then wash off? RRS SUPERCHARGED, 22 INCH ALLOYS, JAVA BLACK, FULLY COLOUR CODED

my bottle lasted ages. Just spray on and leave for a while whilst the dirt loosens and drips off. Then jet wash off

Spray on with snow foam lance and pressure washer

Leave to dwell 10 mins pressure wash/ rinse off and find its done very little in way of cleaning

Might loosen dirt, but I still need to hand wash after

As for length of time, a 1 litre bottle of a lance has a inch or two in the bottom and 1:3 ratio I find gives a nice foam, but depends on water hardness

As above ^^^^^^ more of a gimmick than a cleaner Big Cry ( I've spent £'s on the different products - don't think I'll be replacing the last lot ) Rolling Eyes

Rather wash the car twice - seems to do a better job Thumbs Up Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Would u rinse the car first then snow foam or put the snow foam straight onto the dirty car?

Most on the adverts/vids on the tube show the car very clean once washed down but they also look very clean before snow foaming Rolling with laughter RRS SUPERCHARGED, 22 INCH ALLOYS, JAVA BLACK, FULLY COLOUR CODED

I rinse the car first - then apply snow foam - followed by rinsing the snowfoam off - ( if this was all i was to do then I'd have a dirty Sport ) I then wash as normal Rolling Eyes 2 bucket method - using micro-fibre covered sponges - followed by a detailing spray & relevant glass - tyre - alloy products. All in all a good 4 - 5 hours inside & out Big Cry

Weekly - without fail may i add Whistle 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Bilt-Hamber's Autofoam here!

I'm not too much of a detailing fanatic so similar to Peachy's method but without the quick detailer.

Someone posted a pretty good report on detailing world forum of his attempt to get some objective data on how much dirt was removed by several different snow foams and Bilt-Hamber was top score as I remember it.

Think the key really is to thoroughly decontaminate, polish and the seal at least once a year and then the weekly snow foam and shampoo is a lot easier. Thumbs Up 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Snow foam onto dirty car let it dwell to lift dirt and pressure wash off. Do not let it dry out and make sure all the foam is washed off. The theory of using snow foam is to allow the foam to lift the grit off the bodywork to prevent causing swirls but you still need to use a microfibre mitten to wash afterwards.

I agree with Terryrrs, it's all about the dwell time. If you spray it onto a pre-rinsed car, the existing film of water is going to allow the Snow Foam to slide off.

So just to conifrm...

1 - Spray on good quality snow foam on dry car - Recommended Bilt-Hamber snow foam
2 - Let it settle about 10 mins and not long enough that it dries
3 - Risnse off
4 - Wash car with 2 bucket method
5 - Dry off with cloth
6 - Apply some good polish for the extra shine Very Happy RRS SUPERCHARGED, 22 INCH ALLOYS, JAVA BLACK, FULLY COLOUR CODED

4.5 - Rinse with open hosepipe (water sheets off better and doesn't leave beads like a jet wash)
5 - Dry off with cloth
