differences between 15.5MY and 16MY - HSE Dynamic

Hi all
I have an HSE dynamic on order and is meant for delivery September
However the dealer has called to say he has a 15.5MY that was a cancelled order with very similar spec and can get in a couple of weeks
Question is what is the difference between the 15.5 and 16 - should I wait or take this on on offer?
Thank you in advance

There's nothing wrong with a 15.5 but if your buying a new car , why not have a new car . I'm sure the 16 will be updated soon but I feel you should always have the newest model possible .

MY16 kicks in from build dates from June 22nd, there are quite a few changes, probably more than any previous update.

The PDF lists the differences and guess t is personal choice on whether it is worth the wait? 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

I think the big difference is the new diesel engines from September will be be euro 6 compliant.

What swayed it for me was..

We can have all ebony inside.
Higher resolution cameras.
Seat temperature control easier.

I like the foot wave for opening the boot and they have improved some trim. The added kit looks nice with the premium Incontrol remote toys. As Incontrol apps are now standard they may improve!!

Mainly tweaks, but nice tweaks and as we had no build date or trade in we delayed. Still being told October but that that may improve now LR are ramping up a bit.

HTH, Jimbg is the man with the pdf, most useful, thanks.

Dave

I've just been told that they have automated access mode for each time the car is put into park.

If that's the case its probably the best change that I have seen! 2014.5 Mariana Black 5.0 Supercharged V8 Autobiography

Good, yes. But not as good as being able to permanently defeat Eco Mode start-stop. Smile Regards

Personally I think the auto access mode is a bad thing - have you see how much the rear wheels splay out when lowered? This is why I always select access mode when still moving (slowly). But there again, I also think the Eco mode works well on my Sport (but not in the diesel Jag I currently have as a loaner).

Out of interest, why do you think splayed rear wheels is an issue? MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Has anyone seen what the new Infotainment system on the MY16 is like?

Had a play with the one in the Discovery Sport and looked very basic. Hoping the one in the RRS is better.
