Yes but the supply of parts for spares is completely different from the supply of parts for the line where usage is scheduled weeks or months in advance. Spare parts means holding stock sufficient to meet expected demand within the re-supply time, so most parts should be available next day.

10 days suggests a problem with a batch of the part which has lead to unexpected demand. I wouldn't be happy with 10 days and I don't expect you would be either Phil though I agree no reason to reject the car. Mark

I've been waiting 6 weeks so far for a front grille.

Not fitted properly/misaligned so rubs on the bonnet. Grille is marked, and paint removed from underside of bonnet.

Memo to self, must check mine.

Are they repairing the paint on the underside of the bonnet? Mark

This is the side that sticks slightly proud and high, and rubs on the underside of the bonnet;

Yes, the dealership are going to get the paint underneath sorted (they farm bodywork off to a 3rd party - http://www.lloyds-autobody.com). I'm still waiting for them to suggest a fix for the swirl marks they gave me. As a multiple Aston Martin concours winner, including their Elite class, I know a little about paint but am waiting to hear what they say is an acceptable solution.

Well neither side fit looks great, hopefully the replacement grille will sort it.

How many miles have you done in it Phil (Sally/Dickie)? Mine is close to 3000 but after lots of use to start with, I've been away. Mark

2373 in 6 weeks (although was in Nairobi for 4 days). It's been to and from the dealership, which is 70 miles away, several times Confused

ETA: I tell you what, it is a real struggle to decide whether to stick in dynamic and sport mode and listen to the pops and bangs, or turn up the Meridian and soak in the fabulous audio. Every trip, no matter how long or short, involves lots of turning the terrain response and volume knob.

Yes, I resent dealer miles and mine's only been back once to have the cooler fitted. I got my own back by putting around 300 miles on the loaner overnight visiting the mother-in-law in Chester. Not a good use of SVR miles anyway.

As for which soundtrack, the wonderful Meridian on motorways and A-roads and the car when the driving is the thing. Did 150km of amazingly empty D-road driving yesterday in the little known area south-east of Paris starting near Moulins, a great driving experience. Was in something else but it was definitely the case of stereo off to listen to the car talking to me. Mark

Well the car was collected last Friday and thanks once again to Pete for keeping me updated, he did a better job than my dealer !

Climate is now working fine and after 4 weeks I can finally enjoy the car.

The sales manager is going to call me this week to offer me a "gesture of goodwill" not quite sure what to expect given that the new car was at the dealers for 4 weeks. any ideas ?

Car is going in next week to have Autobiography colour coding done. Will post some pics when done. 2015 RRS HSE - Coris Grey + options
2014 Evoque Dynamic - Grey
2007 - Porsche 911 Cabrio 4
