22" onyx

Hi folks I'm currently running 22" onyx wheels with 285 35 r22 tyres and the wheels keep cracking. Is this an issue any of you have repeatedly had? Regards dave

hi,yes my onyx wheels had around 8 cracks in them ,desperate not to give up on them i had them professionals repaired and changed to 40 profile tyres ,never had another problem, unless it was just that every weak point on them had already taken the damage,a tyre fitter advised me to change to 40s Thumbs Up silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone

Hi Martin thanks for getting back to me. I got them 2nd hand with two wheels cracked so I had them repaired and one has cracked again twice since. They were ment to be in for refurb today but cancelled that due to a crack when removed! Between a rock and a hard place. Nothing suits a rangerover like the onyx imho!

Someone I know also had the same problem with his Onyx wheels.

IMO I would just get rid of them, it's not worth the risk running cracked repaired wheels on a 2.5 ton car. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

I love those wheels, worth the hassle. Be interesting to know if 40's cure the problem. I have 22's but no issues, so far......
