United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

What year is your RRS? As I would be very interested in a updated satnav disc, mine is the 'last' dvd version they offered, 2012 I think it is, is there a price and part number for the Saab version 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

I'm very interested in this DVD too. Does it really work and are there any pitfalls?

If it does work then why on earth aren't LR offering this as an option to their customers?

Yes I have the 2012 disc.
Going to get Bluetooth update tomorrow- should be able to stream music from phone allegedly- I've read so many links about the limited s ystem capabilities so should be interesting.

I really appreciate all of your support- really love my new RRS 😊

Matt, did this work? I would be very surprised TBH, but really interested to hear if it gives you anything other than the Phonebook list on the radio (which I can already provide to people).

let us know, it's tense here! Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

I have the 2011 DVD. I'd be interested in this though. Is there a way on the screen to show a version number? Obviously Land Rover have not made one available since 2012 and Saab obviously don't exist anymore either. Slightly sceptical that someone may be selling 2011 DVD's and sticking a 14/15 sticker on the front.

The mapping data is there ready to be put on a disc as, as you've discovered, it's used by other manufacturers too. The discs can't be produced because LR own the rights to the software that they also contain. I suppose, later versions may require the software updating to work (?), hence, discs aren't, officially, being sold without it...yet. Rolling Eyes

What version did you update from and did it update the software at the start? Question Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Do LR own the software or is owned by the sat nav manufacturer?

It would seem that the Saab and LR use the same software to decode the map data and presumably use the same sat nav unit.

They may licence it, but they almost certainly do not own it? 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

I guessed that you did, but if I am right and as long as you buy a non pirate genuine Saab disk then you are not infringing the intellectual property of the actual owner? Thumbs Up 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled
