What gap to go for?

Ok so I pick my Hse Dynamic up on Friday after selling my cayenne on piston heads (thank you rrsman) for the advice.
I need to sort out gap and I know there are quite a few gap insurance variable's, what I don't know is what one to go for. My dealer is listers but do all dealers user the same product?
Should I Take out an after market gap insurance?
I have paid £3-400 in the past is that about right direct from a dealer, last time I bought it from Stratstones for my disco however with all these thefts happening on sports it may be a good investment this time round? On order expected October 16 macan turbo

Go for the £3 option.

I hate insurance. Gap insurance doubly so. That said, I pay a 5 figure sum for my cars and house, and have just paid for 5-year GAP on the SVR. For the price (£400 and something) it's a no-brainer. Why insurers don't add this de-facto to their policy is a mystery.

I went with the top cover with ALA looked a good level of cover and price was ok

If insurers started to include this as standard the cost would be a huge increase in insurance premiums to cover the additional payouts they would have to make, it's a toss up between paying someone £25K or £40k replacement value X years down the line

Excellent well done and glad your private sale went through OK Smile

I got my GAP through ALA and went via quidco and got £60 cashback too!

I went for this one: http://www.ala.co.uk/gap-insurance/back-to-invoice-plus

I also used ALA (yesterday after seeing this post). Its something which had been worrying me greatly as Admiral wouldn't give an agreed value.

I also took the scratch/dent insurance and it worked out to circa £600 for 4 years GAP and scratch/ding cover which I thought was staggeringly good value. 2014.5 Mariana Black 5.0 Supercharged V8 Autobiography
