Hi everybody

Do fit 19'' Mts and wheels on RRS 3.6l TDV8 2008 with Brembobrakes?

Thanks for your answer Daniel

You can fit certain 19in wheels over the Brembo brakes. There are not many choices of MT that fit 19in wheels, sadly. 2012 SDV6

Neither of those is really a MT though. The LTZ is definitely an AT and I think the Duratrac is more "extreme AT" than MT. Both in /55 profile as you say.

Atturo make the Trail Blade M/T in 255/55/19 but I don't know if they're easy to get hold of. It is a "proper" MT tyre though:

In 20 in rim sizes, they do the Trail Blade XT (in 275/45/20) which looks like a good compromise off road tyre:

The front left wheel will fit - I have those on my TDV8. I think the others will too. 2012 SDV6

My solution. Compomotive pd1880
They fit on my rrs with Brembo pack, although even 18"
Phonic blocks have to be turnen 189 degrees. Fairly easy job with a standard Allen key.
In 18" there are a lot more options in tires. I fitted general all terrain.

IIRC the Compomotive PD1880 wheels were specially made for Bowler for the Bowler Nemesis RRS-a-like that was nearly a tonne lighter and an offroad racer. The forum looked into doing a Group Buy of them but even when we got 20 sets of 4(that was the minimum order number!) they were hugely expensive and we didn't go ahead. There were also concerns IIRC that their load rating was not high enough for the weight of the RRS1 as they were meant for a lightweight GRP/Carbon Fibre bodied Nemisis not a steal bodied Land Rover RRS! 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, preceeded by a 2.7SE RRS, a 3.6TDv8 RRS, several FFRR's and 2 Evoques.
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW.... my fun car to enjoy bashing and denting 20 years old and still giving loads of fun

I must damit I have a little bit of an advantadge.
I have my own company in specialty vehicle lighting (for emergency services and rallysport) and a few connections in the rally world.
We supply a number of Bowler teams with our lights and hence I was able to contact Compomotive.
I can now order them at a single set each time, rather than an enormous badge of 20 sets at a time.

Did the same thing for a few Lotus friends, they also run their trackday tires on Compomotive.

Just curious, what was the quotation to the forum members?

Your weight calculations are correct. The rrs is about 2650kgs empty, the Nemesis is between 1800-1900 kgs, dependant on the version. Beautiful vehicle though!

Best regards Ruud-Peter
