Cruise control Error with Fault Code

OK, my car drives perfectly, I just have intermittent issues with the cruise control. Sad

Sometimes I cannot turn it on at all, other times once it is on I cannot adjust the speed up or down. Sometimes I cannot turn it off and have to press the brake to disengage it. The rest of the time it works perfectly!!! I should mention that at no time is any error displayed on the screen when I experience problems.

I got the fault code using my IIDTool:

Engine - P0579-00( 68 ) Speed Control multi-function Input A-Circuit range/performance...

No idea what that means - hoping someone can point me in the right direction! Smile

Thanks - I did see that post but it had a different error code which threw me off the trail... so basically it's the same fault and I should try replacing the loom in the steering wheel yes?

Thanks Disco_Mikey, been considering replacing my steering wheel with a Cherry wood one anyway so this could be a chance to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. Thumbs Up
