Alive Tuning shout out!

Just giving Gary from Alive Tuning a big shout out!

Carried out the software install, the original map download and the newly modified map upload with ease.
Just putting my 2.7 TDV6 through it's paces to test the map.
Running about 220 BHP and the difference is amazing!
Pickup is quicker and power delivery is so much smoother.

Thumbs Up

Gaz. I was born with a photographic memory. Shame it didn't develop!

I've know Gary for a fair few years since he remapped my D2 td5 some 8 years ago....

I'd only owned my tdv8 3hrs before he Fettled with it, great job.... I have no affiliation with Alive tuning other than he does a quality job, and will remap to your specific needs where possible Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 2010 TDV8 Bali Blue........ "Alive Tuned"

I was very pleased with the first map.
Gary has had a tinker and given me a new second map to try out!
Should give me some more torque.

Gary's ace! Thumbs Up I was born with a photographic memory. Shame it didn't develop!

After a remap your OBD is pretty useless; much better to get a tank-to-tank figure, it'll be much more accurate.

Even before a remap, it's useless Laughing

However, an increase on the dash, is also in increase in brim-to-brim Thumbs Up

The best I had seen on my D3 previous to its map was 34.0mpg. After its map, it went to 37.0mpg, comparing like for like driving.

In reality, it always falls to around 31mpg over the course of the tank (especially the way I drive Whistle ), which works out at around 28mpg. Which is perfectly acceptable for a TDV6 running 260bhp Cool

My understanding is that the pulse width is measured for the mpg figures and, because of the nature of remaps, it's no longer able to read correctly.

I once owned a 2008 Mercedes E320 CDI that had been remapped and it would show 60mpg on the OBD but in reality using brim-to-brim calculations it was 45mpg.

Mind you, I'd happily have my dash lie to me, softens the blow of high diesel usage!

I'm delighted you're loving your remap Gaz!

I do not touch injection pulse width in my tuning, so thats unaffected. Wink Feel the difference... Feel Alive!
