2011 Tdv6 rear pads need changing.

I need to change the Rear Pads on our RRS TDV6. I have been told there maybe an issue regarding the Electronic Handbrake release. The handbrake pads are fine just the brakes themselves. I understand I can release the handbrake by keeping it pressed down for a no of seconds. Is that all I need to do so I can then change the normal brake pads?

Kind Regards
Frank

if youre just changing the disk pads, then you don't need to touch the handbrake. Altough its as good a time as any to check them for wear and adjust accordingly. Bodsys Brake Bible

The light has come on to say the pads need changing so obviously will need to change the sensors. Is there one on each side?

Thanks.

You only have 1 sensor on the drivers rear side and 1 on the front passenger side. Make sure you check the sensor first as I had this flag up and could see the pads had plenty of meat on them. Turned out to be a broken sensor cable. Changed cable and all OK. Thumbs Up

I am doing the same. But changing all front and rear brake pads.

After a lot of research and past history I found Bendix Brake Pads are the best.

Bendix Rear Brake Pads Part Number BENDIX DB1781-4WD

Bendix Front Brake Pads Heavy Duty BENDIX DB2073-HD

Bendix Rear Brake Park Shoes BS5097

Cheers
