SOS system

Has anyone else have this message pop up ? Don't know if I have a reception problem or if it's possible/ normal to have "dark" areas? I assume it's the LR assist button that's affected so not an issue at the moment ( famous last words Rolling Eyes ) plus it clears after pressing OK, and only came back a few more times on my journey, going to dealers tomorrow to get a trim piece replaced so will ask if I have an issue.

Well, it seems I do have an issue. Apparently it's either a switch connector or a short on the wiring loom, or possibly both, booked in for the day so they can replace the switch and also inspect the loom, Rolling Eyes let's hope no issues arise from the inspection. 2015 HSE SDV6 Scotia Grey, ebony / lunar, colour coded, deployable steps, TV, sliding pano and a few other bits. United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

It's not the LR Assist function. It is the SOS call to emergency services, which is triggered automatically if the airbags deploy or can be triggered manually by pressing the red button near the rear-view mirror. I had it appear several times on my previous car. It was linked to a fault with the InControl system and first started appearing when they replaced the telematics unit. 14.5MY SDV6 HSE Dynamic Indus silver/lunar/ebony 20" wheels, InControl, full-size spare, electric tow bar, adaptive xenons, adaptive cruise control, auto main beam assist. Gone: TDV8 HSE; Zermatt silver/ebony, 19" off road alloys, active diff, particle filter, tow pack (it was fun) BMW 730D SE (great car, sadly missed). Ford Focus RS mk2, Ultimate green, lux pack 2, bluetooth. The start of my mid-life crisis.
IN THE GARAGE: BMW i8 - the mid-life crisis continues and it's great fun.
