United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
Ipod and Origin B2 installed

Well, its taken a full week of ownership for me to start playing !

I installed the Harmon Kardon Drive & Play system yesterday, and while I was at it, put my Origin B2 camera detector in too.

For the time being the power for both comes from the rear cigarette lighter, routed through to under the dashboard. The HK module is above the passenger footwell, with the ipod safely stashed in the glovebox, and a 3.5mm stereo cable running though to the rear aux input.

The origin takes its suppply from the same place (2 way adapter above the drivers footwell) and sits nicely in front of the dash cluster. The GPRS sensor is in the front corner of the dashboard and the laser detector in the top corner of the windscreen.

The install is dead easy with very minimal trim removal required - most of the wires can just be tucked behind the trim panels. Everything can be positioned so it has minimum impact on driving - the fingertip controller sits right at your left hand finger tips, and the two screens are pretty much in your line of sight.

What can I say - I like my toys !!!

In reality, the phone is always 'asleep' if its not in use, the origin only sparks up when theres a camera/laser nearby, and the HK only comes on when selecting tracks, so the majority of the time all the bits are visually dormant !

You just have to keep yer wits about you when something beeps, and work out what is was a quick as you can !!! Shocked

Cheers VA - I'm just avoiding the somewhat inevitable first fill up !!! (and enjoying using the free tank the dealership gave me !!!)

Looks interesting. I'm about to step into the iPod world - 80 gig on order.
Going to start of with the Belkin connection.

May progress to this HK later on,having found an installer who will do it for £49 as I couldn't face doing it myself.

I would probably have the display where you have got your phone. TDV6 - gone
