Mark - I thought the 'spats' were a legal requirement as the 22'' wheels will protrude? Seem to remember reading something in another thread from Dave W on this. Maybe worth checking. 2015 - HSE Dynamic - Santorini - Stealth Pack
2013 - Evoque - Santorini - Lux Pack
2010 - BMW M3 - Monte Carlo Blue
2007 - BMW 335 - Gun Metal Grey

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Was passed by two Estoril Blue and what must have been a wrapped one as it was in Kermit Green, SVR's today on the M6 south of Manchester this morning - they were in company/ convoy with a kermit Green Lambo Aventador and what a noise that group made between them - I suspect it may have been a Ladz outing of Premier League Footballers......... on the elevated section of the M6 south of Brum also a couple of Estroil Blue ones on a transporter headed north, so they must be escaping the clutches of SVO more frequently now - they will be as common as Evoques soon 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I know of one green SVR, but it's not owned by a footballer, nor kermit. He drives a Austin-Healey Sprite.

I'm here all week.

So, I am coming up to one month's ownership, so here are some stats:

- Miles: 1898
- Average MPG: 21.4
- Cost of Fuel: £557 (brim to brim)
- Best Journey MPG: 26.4, 129 mile relaxed cruise on free flowing roads from Lincolnshire into London
- Worst Journey MPG: 14.6, 40 mile "scenic drive" Smile

The car is absolutely great, I've fixed the sticky headlamp washer cover and the only thing I regret is buying the InControl Apps option. All the other options are good and the driving aids much more useful than I expected.

What was really noticeable in a 600 mile trip to and around North Wales is how fluidly the car can be threaded along winding roads and it's only the narrowness of the roads, the granite dry-stone walls and the proliferation of camera vans which limit your progress. It's immensely safe and secure in torrential rain.

Next is to put the 22" wheels on for the summer plus fit the stainless loadspace threshold and rechargeable torch.

Today I was at Solihull, going to the Defender Celebration exhibition which includes a close look at the build of the car plus an excellent exhibition recreating the build in the late 40s. They give you a souvenir cleat which is one of only two parts which survive from the earliest cars and an engineering drawing of the part dating from the time. The car of course feels unbearably crude in comparison but it's easy to see the appeal and why the car is now sold out. The exhibition dies with the production of the car on 20th December and you can only wonder how the place, which has been home of production of the Defender for decades and the SD1 before it, will feel when it falls silent. Mark

Yes!

I forgot to mention that the noise, the popping and crackling on the overrun is addictive. My friends think I will at some point act my age and the novelty will wear off but I think that's unlikely. Mark

Yes, trying to draw a veil over that particular milestone. Phil, why are you having to wait so long to pick up your car?

Tim, no Jaguar for me, saw some X-E's today in Solihull, looks good for those wanting a saloon. One of them had met with an accident, looked like something had fallen heavily onto the front which was wrecked. Not a very long in-service life for that car... Mark

To be perfectly honest, it's a pure guess. So much so I've changed it back.

I don't have a name for mine but it certainly likes to drink. It's clear the MPG is very dependent on the sort of journeys you do but I'm impressed you're getting less miles than me; not many people have a heavier right foot than me!! Mark

Sounds like your husband is a good judge of character... I'm tempted to take it to Germany just to see what sort of MPG is available at 150mph+, not many would be my guess. I agree though, MPG is more of a passing interest than an economic imperative.

Sally, are you pleased with your Cirrus interior? I certainly like the piping of the same colour on my seats and I think it must provide a rather different feel to the driving environment. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what Phil has chosen for his. Mark
