Slight worry is the salesman had told me he's driven it to "the end of the road" and it sounds great. Question is, how far is "the end of the road"?

It had done 30 miles when I saw it. If there's the slightest hint that it's been used for a bit of joy-riding, there'll be hell to pay. Mark

SVR in Estoril Blue

I have been told mine has now done 8 miles. This includes being driven to the bodyshop and back (for the sills painted etc).

Mark your SVR is most likely the first car the dealership has seen so I guess all the staff will be queing up to take it for a spin and hence why it's done 30 miles which is a lot for a new car. My brand new 991 Was also one of the first to be delivered from my dealer and it had done 18 miles but they were honest and told me it's beacuse the senior management wanted a go in it!

Just hope they never over revved it too much when doing so! Good luck for tomorrow.

Oh the position is quite clear. I understand the SVR has some extra testing but if the mileage is excessive - my judgement, not theirs- it's not a new car and I receive appropriate compensation. Mark

There was an article in the Daily Mail today about some London LR dealer razzing about in an SVR on trade plates yesterday. Smoking and eating a croissant. With muddy shoes on. Heavy ones.

Very reasonable.... just like the time my builder finished working on my house....he said it was so beautiful and unique that

he'd stay there for the first few days and promised not to have any parties..... he'd tell me about anyway....
