United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Alaska White
New Order - Due May

Evening Chaps,

Yesterday I put down a deposit on a cancelled build slot.

The spec I have chosen so far is:

Range Rover Sport HSE
- Yulong White
- 22 Inch Style 504 (possibly changing to 21" due to comfort- opinions?)
- Body coloured fixed panoramic roof
- Privacy glass

- Ebony/Ivory with Ivory seats
- Heated leather steering wheel
- Meridian 825w

Has anyone seen a car in Yulong white before? We are trading in our 13 plate RRS Black Edition in Fuji, so would be nice to change for a metallic, hopefully better white. It's difficult to get a feel for the car via the configurator.

Car will be with us at the beginning of May Very Happy with a free service package thrown in for good measure.

Have I missed anything?

Cheers - Does look very good. The dealer seemed very anti-Yulong and pro-Fuji for some reason?

You don't have anymore do you Very Happy

There was one in the showroom this weekend (went in to finalise things for next weekend - how exciting!)

It was a Yulong White Dynamic with Stealth Pack (Harwoods Croydon). At first I thought it was a Fuji white - I struggled to see the difference until I read the car's spec sheet. Upon looking closer I saw the metallic crystals under the showroom lights.

I think the colour would be more metallic under the sun but at first glance it is very hard to tell the difference from Yulong White.

As for the Stealth Pack - I think the Gloss Black accents look much nicer than the matte black bits on the car - the matte black bits make the car look like they have standard black plastics parts and does not give a premium feel to the car IMHO.

Yes I agree with that - I'm sure one could easily tell the difference if parked next to each other but if alone a white car is a white car for most people.

I like both Yulong and Fuji and would have gone for whatever was available to me (I am buying a cancelled order and got Fuji but a 2015 car).

The Fuji white is like pearl white but shiny and not matte.

Just popped to Harwoods to the Yulong white one with stealth pack as I hadn't seen it. I have an Aleutian silver one on order with the stealth pack.

Took my wife and she loved it, especially the wheels...

I was worried the 22" wheels would spoil the off road ability, I don't need much just for poor weather and dropping my kids at Airsofting in the middle of a forest. The sidewalls were much deeper than I thought so very happy, and the wheels look awesome.

Yulong white was very nice indeed but had white before so sticking to silver with contrast roof. We liked the satin black trim, looked amazing with the wheels and light colour body.

Roll on May!

Hope she does her best not to curb them Mr. Green

Did you find the colour very different to Fuji White? Did you need to look harder to see a difference like I did?

Got alloy wheel and tyre insurance included!!! 5 claims in 3 years allowed. And got a full size spare. Now that is a bargain at £200 ish.

It was next to a Fuji white Full Fat RR, but the Fuji was in a lit area in the middle and the RRS to one side so hard to compare. Almost looks greyer but when the lights caught it, it was very nice. I nearly changed my order to it and probably would order it over Fuji. And it is more unique!!

Cheers

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Fuji White

I was looking at both Yulong and Fuji. The only sample colours I could find were the sample plaques inside the Stratstone dealership in London. To me the Yulong definitely had a silver hue to it. It looked good but for me I was after a purer, brighter white. so went for Fuji in the end.

If you are near Harwoods in Croydon you can look!

The Fuji was definitely a purer and brighter white, but I didn't see them outside or the best light.

Looking at confirming the final spec this weekend.

The car does come with standard mats I presume? I have seen a 'premium' mat option online, anyone have experience of these- are they worth the money?

Also looking at the fixed side steps to make it easier to get in, our current RRS has them also.
Other than an extra 1k and a bit of jazz, is it worth paying more for the deployable side steps?

Still can't decide about Yulong, unless the dealer has a car in with this colour, I may play it safe with Fuji just in case.

Can anyone confirm what 'Front Parking Aid with Forward Camera View' is? Presuming this means there is a camera, just seems a little overkill.

Cheers

I chose premium mats but haven't seen them either. I had mega carpets in my old XC90 Exec so wanted the best I can get.

I have not added steps in the end as I didn't like the look of the fixed ones too much and the deployable ones were £2800 ish!!!

They can be added later at the same cost so I thought I would see how we go without them.

I have added full surround cameras as the parking spaces here are small and I want to protect the big rims!!!

Good luck
