Why is there no thread on the wheel nut recall...

Anyone care to elaborate on what the issue is and which vehicles it relates to for other members to be able to search easily...

I only stumbled across it mid thread of something completely unrelated...

I came across this which refers to wiring and wheel nuts.....

AK Hammer maybe you have both !!!!!!!

I gather bright finish metal wheel nuts only, not the black ones, and specific vehicles within the range SALWA2VF0FA516175 to SALWR2VF3FA613959, I guess there will be a dealers letter at some point.

Andman,

You may be correct - I think I have both - LR confirmed the wiring issue today, but not said anything about the wheels yet!

And still no word as to when I will get the car back.

So while I accept that I don't want to be driving an unsafe car, we are now approaching 3 weeks without the vehicle. Not sure I have heard of a recall that has taken this long before, but I guess with LR, one has to be prepared for new experiences all the time!

Unfortunately not. In my experience 'Recall of the product from end users' basically means there is a fix for it and cars don't need to be taken off sale etc. I've also found where a recall has been announced, dealers only carry out the work when a vehicle is next in for a service.

In these cases however I would imagine the dealers are rectifying as soon as possible by replacing the faulty components.

I'm sure if would be useful for those members affected if one of the dealer forum users clarified the situation 2010 RRS 3.0 TDV6 - Bali Blue / Ivory Leather / Extended Leather / TV / Rear Entertainment / Privacy Glass / Timed Climate

I shall be going to see my dealer this week.....

The mountain passes and sheer drops involved in my daily driving make this issue quite a scary prospect

and i'd like the comfort of knowing whether my car is affected.... 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

Yes it would be nice. I called my dealer (Stratstone/Aylesbury) and eventually they told me that there were 3 outstanding recalls on my car. When I asked how urgent they were, they told me it would be better if I brought my car to them asap for the work to be done upon which I asked for either a courtesy car or a home collection. They refused both saying that the recalls weren't dangerous enough to warrant either a home collection or courtesy car. So 3 months ago, I paid £70k to this dealer for my car and now it is the subject of 3 recalls already but the dealer can't be arsed to even arrange a courtesy car for me. This definitely would not happen with a BMW or Porsche

I received a letter on Saturday regarding the wiring recall. Pretty annoyed because my car was back at dealer last week to address a couple of post delivery issues and they didn't mention a thing about this! Surely they should have known?

Me too. Fortunately my RRS is booked in for 3 other recalls this Friday so the letter arrived just in time. What really Censored me off though is that, when I booked my car in for the recalls, I specifically asked my stealer (Stratstone) if my car would be subject to the wiring loom recall and they said no

I have to say in general that I am appalled that a £70k car could be subject to so many recalls
